Acadiana Chimney Sweeps

If you have noticed that your dryer is running longer than it used to you may need to have the dryer vent cleaned.

Dryer Vent Cleaning

A characteristic problem of chimneys is they develop deposits of creosote on the walls of the structure when used with wood as a fuel. Deposits of this substance can interfere with the airflow and more importantly, they are combustible and can cause dangerous chimney fires if the deposits ignite in the chimney.

When was your chimney last serviced?

Cleaning / Sweeping

The National Fire Protection Association states, “Chimneys shall be inspected at least once a year and serviced ‘as necessary”.

Our experience has shown us that it usually takes about one cord of wood (2x4x16 feet) burned in a fireplace to produce enough soot and or creosote build-up to warrant sweeping. This is only a rule of thumb and under certain burning conditions the need for sweeping could be much sooner. When in doubt, call us for a professional inspection!

To assure that you receive only the most highly qualified service available our chimney cleaning service is performed by technicians that are certified by the Chimney Safety Institute of America. Our equipment is specifically designed for the type of chimney we are servicing whether it be a large masonry fireplace, metal factory built chimney system or gas log fireplace.

All brushable creosote and soot are removed without damage to the fireplace or chimney. This includes the elbows in factory built chimneys or connector pipes, which can become separated by using improperly sized or inappropriate brushes or rods. The work is done both from the outside and inside the home and using proven methods to assure that no soot or creosote escapes into your home. Drop cloths, a high speed vacuum, tarps over the fireplace allow us to guarantee mess-free cleaning! All soot and creosote dislodged during the cleaning process will be removed from the smoke shelf, damper and firebox.

We will also examine the fireplace (or appliance) and chimney and provide you with information regarding any problems or concerns discovered during the sweeping process.

Our staff is trained and ready to answer your questions and provide you the highest quality service. Before we arrive at your home, we make sure we've got everything we need to perform the work you've called us to do. We'll also have the necessary floor protection and other equipment needed to keep your home clean and safe during the entire service or restoration project.
